Everybody’s Talking About Aloe Cadabra® Lubricant – #Magic Moments

Posted on January 22, 2016

organic lubricantWomen love lubes, and for good reasons!

It’s difficult to calculate the number of people using vaginal lubricants today, but based on increasing sales, it’s huge. In a survey of 28,869 American adults, 17.4 percent of American households use personal lubricants. We suspect that number is much higher because there are still some who aren’t ready to divulge their secrets about better sex.

We do know why women (and men) love lubes—especially Aloe Cadabra®. It makes sex more pleasurable and eases the discomfort and pain of vaginal dryness. It also renews and replenishes the natural moisture of the vagina.

Twenty years ago, many women were just starting to talk about lubricants and how to use them. Even ten years ago, the topic was something to be discussed privately among BFFs.

Not anymore! Increased interest in sexuality and sexual health, coupled with easy accessibility to information has created a breakthrough in frank sexual discussion. That dialogue includes the benefits of personal lubricants and a new world of comfort and pleasure for women of all ages.

Our customers write us
In the early 2000s, a loving couple began to develop Aloe Cadabra® lubricant and moisturizer on their organic farm. The all-natural formula they created became the first personal lubricant certified to meet the new organic body care standards. Today, Aloe Cadabra@ is becoming even more popular as more women discover its organic and all-natural ingredients, and immediate benefits.

We are honored to receive hundreds of letters and e-mails from our customers about the ways Aloe Cadabra® has improved their lives, without the fear of harmful side effects caused by ingredients in some lubricants. Comments from our loyal and health-conscious customers appear in the Magic Moments section of our website www.mymagicmoment.com.

They lost that loving feeling (and got it back)
One Aloe Cadabra® client, Betty of Wisconsin wrote to us about her situation and the Aloe Cadabra® solution.

“During and after menopause, my body changed, as all women’s do. Hot flashes, dryness, increased sensitivity to stress. My husband and I had lost our spark, our magic and a part of our connection.  I was shocked when my son handed me a bottle of Aloe Cadabra. He had read an article about the normal changes people go through [during menopause].

Aloe Cadabra has been a huge help not only during intimate moments but every day. My body feels like it’s back to its natural state. There isn’t any discomfort from dryness and, when the moment strikes, we’re ready to go.”

Betty is just one of millions of examples of women who are opening up about this sometimes confusing and problematic stage of womanhood. They’re talking about the reasons for vaginal dryness, and even more important, the solutions available to recapture the natural moisture that was common in their twenties.

Age is a factor but it’s not the only reason
As you grow older (and more beautiful) nature will steal some of your estrogen as menopause sets in. A decrease in this hormone is the primary cause of vaginal dryness. Sex can be very painful, but that’s where Aloe Cadabra® can help. And menopause isn’t the only reason for dry spells. Anxiety, stress, and extreme emotional circumstances can affect the flow of normal vaginal moisture. Carrina of Oregon wrote us to say this:

“I am only 30, but I have had issues with endometriosis, and pelvic floor tightness. Sex has often been very painful for me, and … the last few times we have tried to have intercourse, I ended up crying from the pain and frustration. I felt like something was wrong with me, and I started to believe that I would never have enjoyable and pain-free sex again.

I have tried so many different lubricants trying to find the solution to dryness during sex. None of them worked. Then, I found Aloe Cadabra. I just want to say a huge thank you for making this terrific product.  The consistency is perfect — not thick, not too runny, not tacky, not oily, not oozy. Sex felt so good that I was laughing with joy in the middle of it.

Also, one of the things I love most about Aloe Cadabra is that there is no mess after sex. With other products, it felt impossible to completely get the product off without soaking in a bath. Aloe Cadabra can soak right in, and I know that it’s good for my body.”

Pregnancy and childbirth also contribute to fluctuating hormonal levels and create imbalances in hormones. Read this letter from Dave and Sarah from California. They are in their thirties.

“After the birth of our second child, I was experiencing dryness and postpartum depression. With the extra tasks from having a newborn, time was short, stress was high and the thought of physical intimacy became less appealing, since it was uncomfortable.

As we lost our physical connection, our relationship suffered on every level. We were confused, frustrated and didn’t know that dryness was normal or that there were simple and enjoyable solutions that were designed to work with and support my body’s natural processes.

Aloe Cadabra has changed our lives. It brought the comfort back to sex. As our comfort increased, our natural drives for intimacy increased. As our desire for sex increased, our satisfaction with it increased. I was having multiple orgasms for the first time in my life!

I couldn’t be more thankful for Aloe Cadabra. That it brought back the magic in our relationship, on every level, is amazing.”

Medications for allergies, colds and asthma, contain antihistamines, which can also “dry” a person out. Here’s another comment from an Aloe Cadabra® client whose body cannot tolerate chemicals.

“I have allergies and my body is sensitive to chemicals. Aloe Cadabra didn’t cause any reactions, and felt great whether I used it as an everyday moisturizer or whether my husband and I enjoyed it together. Thank you for making something that helped us rekindle our connection and find our magic. And thank you for getting rid of all the chemicals that I now know so many lubricants have. It feels great to be using something that’s all natural, which is really important to us!

”

Various cancer treatments, including chemotherapy and radiation, can also reduce a woman’s level of estrogen. One of our clients, Tammy told us how Aloe Cadabra® helped with her life after chemotherapy.

“Since chemo-induced early menopause, I’ve experienced related changes in my body, one of which was vaginal tissue thinning and associated dryness. I’ve tried lots of lubricants, but many of them are made to ‘enhance’ sex, and while others may enjoy them, I find them intrusive and sometimes downright painful! Finally, with Aloe Cadabra, I found something I was comfortable with, is natural, and effective. And I can order it online for the further comfort of privacy.”

Debbie, age 44 also had cancer treatment and wrote to thank us for Aloe Cadabra®.

“After breast cancer at 44 with chemotherapy causing immediate menopause, I almost lost my marriage as intimacy was so incredibly painful. I am allergic to glycerin and fearful of parabens both of which are in almost all personal lubricants [but not in Aloe Cadabra]. Aloe Cadabra has made me feel natural and given me back much of what I have lost. I am tearing up as I write this, I am so grateful.”

Marie, age 55 from North Carolina, credits Aloe Cadabra® with renewing her and her husband’s sex life.

“Sex isn’t something we talk much about (even though) we’ve always enjoyed it…” When our sex life began to change and our libidos began to slow… it created unspoken tension. My husband was the one who bought Aloe Cadabra® and it helped us feel sensations like we did in our twenties.  Being intimate brought emotional connection back. Our life came back into balance. Sex felt natural and good, like it used to.”

Cathy, age 59 shared a similar comment.

“Great stuff! I gave up on sex due to the pain…just bought in local drug store chain, and no pain, not sore. And 95% organic! Thank you and hubby thanks you too.”

The Alarming Facts About Harmful Ingredients In Lubricants

    Posted on January 12, 2016

    Vaginal Dryness Solutions

Personal Lubricants Are All The Buzz. But Which Ones Are Safe?

America is having a love affair with personal lubricants. Both men and women are discovering the benefits of more pleasurable and comfortable sexual experiences provided by the variety of lubricants available. But most of these lubes contain dangerous ingredients that can turn healthy sex into toxic sex. More and more people are waking up to this issue.

Many lube ingredients are harmful because they were not intended for the human body.
Several authoritative health professionals agree that many of the personal lubes available on the market should be avoided. Even prominent politicians are voicing concern. California Senator Diane Feinstein and Senator Susan Collins of Maine, have introduced a bill (S.1014-the Personal Care Products Safety Act) that would require FDA review of some ingredients to “help ensure a safe marketplace for personal care products and reduce harms from exposure to toxic chemicals.”  Some ingredients were originally made for industrial or commercial use such as rocket ships, anti-freeze, insect repellants, and even oven cleaners.
Vaginal Dryness solutionsDo any of these sound like substances you want to put on or inside your body? We hear you saying “NO” loud and clear. And some ingredients on the labels of these products are so confusing, you feel like you need a degree in chemistry to figure them out. Some manufacturers don’t even list all of the ingredients. (They know you’re smart enough to look them up.)

How Do You Know Which Lubes Are Safe Or Even Good For You?

It would take a long time—hours or even days—to research the good and the bad stuff, so we did it for you. The good news: Aloe Cadabra® is one of the few lubricants that is FDA-cleared and contains 100% food-grade, natural ingredients, including 95% high-quality organic aloe, Barbadensis. It contains none of the harmful ingredients that our expert sources tell us to avoid.
Here’s A Partial List Of Unhealthy Ingredients

Parabens If an ingredient ends with the suffix “paraben,” stay away! These are synthetic preservatives that extend the shelf life of common household products. In vaginal lubes, they mimic the effects of estrogen and have been found in breast tumors. The Feinstein-Collins bill highlights propylparaben “as an endocrine-disrupting chemical…that is linked to a wide range of health effects, including reproductive system disorders.” Parabens may also have links to higher risks of breast cancer.
vaginal dryness solutionsMineral Oil Sounds safe enough, right? But it is a petroleum by-product just like motor oil and it clogs the pores. Skin care consultant, Carol Lee, warns that “by coating and clogging the pores, mineral oil and its derivatives interfere with your skin’s ability to eliminate toxins, or even perspire.” Untreated mineral oil has been proven to cause cancer.

Phenoxyethanol Dr. Laurie Steelsmith tells us that phenoxethanol “can be harmful when absorbed through your skin, causes reproductive damage, and according to the FDA, depresses the central nervous system in newborns.” It can also adversely affect your immune system. Thankfully, this ingredient is not in Aloe Cadabra®!

Glycerin A form of sugar, glycerine is a drying agent and may increase the incidence of candida, which can result in vaginal yeast infections. The pain, discharge, and itchiness that accompanies this fungus is not something you want to deal with.

Benzoic acid Here is a preservative usually derived from trees but sometimes from animal urine! You’ll also find it in insect repellant. Need we say more?

Polyquaternium This is a synthetic polymer (polymers are compounds used to make plastics, concrete and glass) associated with severe irritation and disruption of skin surfaces. It also increases reproduction of viruses, including HIV.
Sjogren's Syndrome Vaginal DrynessNon-oxynol 9 This ingredient is an oil-based spermicide! It severely irritates skin surfaces and increases transmission of viruses, including HIV. Do NOT use it if you’re trying to conceive. And do not use it rectally. Better still, don’t use it at all!

Lidocaine Your dentist uses this to numb your gums before a procedure. In a vaginal lube, it irritates skin surfaces and increases the risk of skin trauma. Besides, who wants to feel numb in the vaginal area when you want to have pleasurable sex!

Capsaicin Better be ready to sink into a tub of cool water if you use this one. It’s the oil of very hot chili peppers and it’s used in warming lubes. It triggers a pain reaction in the nerves-which is bad enough—but then may last longer than the intimate experience and can be difficult to remove from skin once applied.

Chlorhexidine This preservative found in KY Jelly® and Surgilube®, destroys normal, protective genital bacteria that help fight infections. Ellen Barnard, co-owner of “A Woman’s Touch,” warns, “No way! It kills all your healthy vaginal bacteria.”
Sjogren's Syndrome Vaginal DrynessPropylene Glycol This component lets chemicals penetrate the body and get to the blood stream. It’s been linked to cancer, developmental problems, and toxicity of the human organs. It’s also used in some oven cleaners and antifreeze products. We can’t even imagine putting a substance that is used for automobile maintenance on your sensitive vaginal tissues. And why would you want to use a chemical that allows other chemicals to get even deeper under your skin?

Petroleum or petroleum-based ingredients It sounds harmless, but for vaginal use, this component can coat your skin and interfere with its normal functions. Some studies show links to cancer. Silicone-based ingredients also function like petroleum-based ingredients.

All Natural Aloe Cadabra® Contains Only Food-Grade Ingredients
In their book Great Sex, Naturally, Dr. Steelsmith and Alex Steelsmith describe Aloe Cadabra® as “a lovely lubricant… with a sleek quality that’s as magical as its name implies. It not only facilitates pleasurable sex, but if used often, can help keep your vaginal and vulvar tissue well nourished, moisturized, and healthy.”

Check https://aloecadabra.com/lubricant-comparison/ and https://aloecadabra.com/ingredients/ for more information on the harmful ingredients you may not know you’re using, and the good things in Aloe Cadabra®. And don’t confuse “all natural” with boring. Aloe Cadabra® comes in scents and fragrances to enhance your pleasure and delight the palate. Stay safe.

Set The Mood With These Classic Romantic Movies

    Posted on December 29, 2015

    Natural Vaginal Lubricant

Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze in “Ghost”– 1990

    Romance Rules The Big Screen
America loves movies and most Americans love a larger than life romance that sweeps them into a world of fantasy for 90 to 120 minutes. Big screen romance takes us from stories of innocence such as Splendor In The Grass, to the raw and no-holds-barred sexual grit depicted in Last Tango In Paris. Storylines like American Beauty and The English Patient offer pathos and tragedy. The Graduate and Ghost serve up love and lust with comic relief. Whether it’s unrequited, scandalous, seductive or stolen, romance rules. Any time is the right time to watch a true romance. Why not now?

    Gone With the Wind

Gone With The Wind – 1939
Scarlett O’Hara (Vivien Leigh) is beautiful, spoiled and manipulative but she’s no match for her third husband, Rhett Butler (Clark Gable). In the movie’s most famous love scene, a jealous and inebriated Rhett confronts Scarlett and kisses her fiercely before he carries her up a winding staircase to their bedroom. The morning after, Scarlett awakens with a big smile and purrs with satisfaction.

    Casablanca – 1942
Romance and intrigue are the main components of this well-known classic. The dialogue between ex-lovers, Ilsa Lund (Ingrid Bergman) and Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart) reveal details of their intimate affair in Paris years ago and why she left him with no explanation. As Ilsa tries to explain her heartless abandonment, Rick kisses her passionately and the camera shifts to outside the room. The lights dim, leaving the rest of the evening to the viewer’s imagination.

    From Here To Eternity
From Here To Eternity – 1953
It’s 1941 on the Hawaiian island of Oahu before the attack on Pearl Harbor when Sergeant Milton Warden (Burt Lancaster) beds the lonely and sexually frustrated Captain’s wife, Karen Holmes, (Deborah Kerr). The rough waves of the beach wash over them as they kiss and embrace for what seems like an eternity. It’s the scene that becomes the signature shot for this multiple Academy Award winner.

    Love Story – 1970
Get the handkerchiefs out for this romantic tragedy about two young lovers, one from high society and the other, a working class student. Oliver Barrett IV (Ryan O’Neal) meets and falls in love with Jenny Cavalleri (Ali MacGraw). When they decide to marry, Oliver’s father disapproves and cuts Oliver out of the will. The newlyweds are poor but happy until Jenny is diagnosed with a terminal illness. Love Story does not have a happy ending except at the box office where it remains among the top 40 highest grossing films.

    Somewhere in Time
    Somewhere In Time – 1980
An elderly woman gives young screenwriter, Richard Collier (Christopher Reeve) a vintage pocket watch and whispers “Come back to me.” What follows in this romantic fantasy is magical. Richard uses self-hypnosis to travel back in time to 1912, and search for Elise McKenna (Jane Seymour) believing her to be his soul mate from the turn of the century. Time runs out before the mystery of their relationship is resolved, but not before a delicious love scene and a marvelous soundtrack create a rush of emotions for the audience.

    Pretty Women
    Pretty Woman – 1990
It’s a fairy tale come true when Vivian Ward (Julia Roberts) a working girl from LA’s red light district meets Edward Lewis (Richard Gere), a handsome and successful businessman. He shows her a life of luxury and ultimately fulfills her Cinderella fantasy. In their upscale hotel, he clears other patrons from the bar and lifts her onto the piano for a tender love scene. Has a Hollywood pair ever made more beautiful music together?
    Last of the Mohicans

Last of the Mohicans – 1992
This romance is set amidst the French and Indian War. The sex scene between the steamy hot Nathaniel “Hawkeye” Poe (Daniel Day Lewis) and beautiful Cora Munroe (Madeline Stowe) begins and ends without a word being spoken. He leads her to a private outdoor area and seduces her with soft kisses and haunting eye contact. Only their expressions of hunger and ecstasy reveal the true depth of their brief sexual encounter.

    Your Favorite Is The Best
You’re the best judge of what you like in a romantic flick. Plan a movie night and choose an all-time favorite or try a classic you’ve only heard about. Just allow more time than the average ninety minutes because you may be inspired to take an unscheduled intermission. Plan ahead and keep your Aloe Cadabra® personal lubricant nearby. It’s a classic addition to your most unforgettable love scenes and most memorable romances.

Six Tips To Make Your Holidays The Merriest Ever!

    Posted on December 17, 2015

    Organic Lubricant

It’s Your Favorite Time of Year…Or It Could Be
‘Tis the season of good food and cheer; lights and libation; presents and parties; and memories and menorahs. But it’s also a time of long lines; endless crowds; annoying shoppers; drivers on steroids; and guests who don’t know when to leave! It can be a stressful time but it doesn’t have to be. Relax and enjoy this season of giving by handling holiday stress and spicing up your sex life at the same time.

Feel The Holiday Blues; Then Chase Them Away
Memories of years gone by are natural thoughts during this season of reflection. It’s normal to feel sadness and grief, especially if you can’t be with loved ones. A good cry can sometimes make a big difference. Catch up with a friend you’ve lost touch with or approach that handsome stranger. Who knows, holiday sparks may fly.
    Organic Lube
    Rock Something Sexy
Holiday parties give you a great excuse to buy a new outfit. Make it festive and a little more revealing than your normal conservative threads. When you look good, you feel good so try a new hairstyle or take in a spa visit to put a smile on your face and boost your holiday spirit. Don’t be surprised if you get a few compliments too.

    Suggested and Suggestive Reading
It’s official. Women are aroused by erotic material such as the best-selling 50 Shades of Grey. Researchers have found that erotic literature can stimulate the imagination. That stimulus can arouse sexual desire and feel-good vibes.

According to a paper published by the Society for the Scientific Society on Sexuality, reading erotic literature, now dubbed “bibliotherapy,” helps women suffering from low sexual desire achieve a mental state conducive to sex—specifically the anticipation of a positive sexual encounter. So pick up a “bad” book to feel better and possibly, lead to happy endings.

It’s Already Too Late To Shop Early
Shopping may be the most stressful activity of the season. Stop beating yourself up because you can’t say “Yes” when someone asks “All ready for Christmas?” Instead of a single gift, consider a sensual stocking and stuff it with Aloe Cadabra® personal lubricant, sexy lingerie and other bedroom delights.

    Organic Lube

    Make Love
You may be so stressed that sex is the last thing on your mind. Move it up to first place. In addition to boosting immunity, sex fights stress and raises self-esteem. Orgasms increase endorphins (natural painkillers and mood elevators) and raise oxytocin levels, increasing romantic attachments. There are at least a dozen ways sex boosts good feelings and keeps you healthy. To make the most of your experience, keep your Aloe Cadabra® lubricant nearby for those magic moments. The Peppermint flavor is the perfect complement to the season.

    Accept Changes In Tradition
Whatever the family rituals were last year or for decades before, it may not be the same this year. Situations change. Keep an open mind to new ideas. If you’re the one who usually plays host and adult children can’t make it this year, use Skype or Facetime to celebrate together. If you’re a couple celebrating alone, take advantage of the empty nest. Slip into something comfortable, light the candles, and make it a season to remember.

The holidays only come once a year, and it’s a time associated with good fun and loving relationships, so keep calm and carry on. Make this your merriest time of year. You can do this!

The Truth About Hormone Replacement Therapy

    Posted on December 1, 2015

Organic Aloe CadabraWHAT DOCTORS KNOW ABOUT HRT TODAY

When the most common symptoms of menopause—hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, and disruptive sleep patterns—cause discomfort, or worse, tormenting pain, women think HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) is the answer to relief.

From the 1960s, until the mid-nineties, doctors were liberal with HRT prescriptions to treat these and other menopausal symptoms, such as anxiety, irregular periods, psychological problems, and prevention of bone loss. Until the estrogen hit the fan!

In 2002, the medical world was rocked like an earthquake. A series of government-run clinical trials  (Women’s Health Initiative or WHI) on the risks and benefits of hormone therapy was discontinued. Researchers had discovered that long-term use of synthetic estrogen and progestin in HRT increased the risk of heart disease, stroke, blood clots and breast cancer. Fearful patients called their doctors asking what they should do.

    painful sexAND THEN THE AFTER-SHOCK
    It got worse.
    •    Subsequent studies found HRT also increased the risk of Alzheimer’s, dementia, and asthma.
    •    An April 2007 JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association) study determined the risk of stroke increased in HRT users by more than 30 percent, and that age or years at the onset of menopause was not a factor.
    •    In 2010, new research found that combined estrogen-progestin HRT increased the risk for more severe forms of breast cancer and increased a woman’s chances of dying from the disease or other causes.

    DIFFERENT DOCTORS = DIFFERENT OPINIONS
Today’s medical community tends to be divided in its views about prescribing HRT. Cardiologist Nieca Goldberg, MD, feels that younger women who go on hormone therapy because of severe menopause symptoms should not worry that HRT can be “detrimental to their heart.” Dr. Steven Goldstein, MD, professor of medicine at NYU Medical Center, concurs, saying “We have strong evidence to show that if it is less than 10 years since you started menopause, the use of HRT on a short-term basis is not likely to harm you.”

But Julia Smith, MD, director of the Lynne Cohen Breast Cancer Program at the NYU Medical Center describes the controversy as “complex” and “still not fully explained or explainable.”

    BIOIDENTICAL COMPOUNDING: AN ALTERNATIVE APPROACH
Prescription compounding is the art and science of preparing customized medications. When a regular prescription doesn’t meet a patient’s specific health needs, the pharmacist combines, mixes, adjusts or alters the ingredients or physical form of a drug.

Many women choose Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement. With custom-compounding, the ingredients can be plant-based, which some believe are preferable to the synthetic ingredients found in traditional HRT products.

Andrea Dominic, RPh and Steve Hoyt, RPh are licensed pharmacists at San Ysidro Pharmacy in Santa Barbara, CA with more than 20 years experience in Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement. San Ysidro Pharmacy is accredited by the Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board, established to ensure the quality of compounded prescriptions.

“Compounding pinpoints the individual patient’s needs,” says Andrea Dominic, RPh. “There is no one-dose-fits-all when it comes to hormone replacement. The levels needed to relieve symptoms can fluctuate and dose adjustments are sometimes necessary. Unlike synthetic hormones, the structure of the bio-identical hormone is exactly the same as what is circulating in the body, so the body knows how to metabolize it.”

CONSULT YOUR PHYSICIAN AND MAKE EDUCATED CHOICES
Some women may not need HRT. When vaginal dryness is the primary problem, for example, a hormone-free product such as Aloe Cadabra® vaginal lubricant and moisturizer, may be preferable. Aloe Cadabra® is all-natural; made of 95% quality organic Aloe Vera; is estrogen-free; FDA-cleared; and contains 100 percent food-grade ingredients.

“Gone forever are the days when a doctor routinely prescribes HRT for every woman over 50,” says Dr. Smith. “Today, the decision to go on hormone therapy, even short term, must take into consideration a host of individual health and lifestyle factors.”
