Study: Mindfulness helps couples have better relationships
Practicing mindfulness helps people to recover more quickly from the unavoidable moments in relationships when partners rub each other the wrong way. Whenever that happens, cortisol levels rise and conflicts can quickly spiral out of control. However, a study with 88 romantic couples shows that those who regularly practice mindfulness recovered more rapidly. Their cortisol levels were quicker to return to normal after the conflict ended, suggesting they were keeping their cool. That was true for both men and women. READ MORE
