Despite predictions that up to 100 million people worldwide will be diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease by 2050, pharmaceutical giants announced earlier this year that new research on therapeutics will be brought to a halt. Fortunately, the pursuit of a therapeutic treatment for Alzheimer’s has been given a lifeline after new research found that physical exercise can allow new nerve cells to enable cognitive improvements such as learning and memory.
