As aging Americans live and stay healthy longer, and with the surge of popular erectile dysfunction medications, today’s aging population is remaining sexually active for longer than previous generations. Roughly 45 percent of men and women in their 50s reported being sexually active; about one-third of men and women in their 60s; and 20 to 30 percent of men and women into their 70s and 80s.

According to a recent Indiana University study, researchers found 41 combinations of sex acts that participants reported engaging in during their most recent sexual experience. This includes solo acts such as intercourse and combinations of multiple acts, such as oral sex and partner masturbation. While intercourse is still the most common, “what it means to have sex can vary greatly from one person to the next,” said Dr. Debby Herbenick.

Pain During Sex? You’re Not Alone
Thirty-three percent of women experience pain or discomfort during intercourse! We were blown away that, according to a study completed by Indiana University, nearly one-third of women reported experiencing pain during the most recent time they had sex, compared to only five percent of men. Researchers expect this is due to vaginal dryness, possibly caused by not spending enough time on foreplay and not being thoroughly aroused. “We need to pay better attention to women’s experiences of pain and discomfort during sex, including how sex can be modified through communication, foreplay, positioning or product use to improve comfort and pleasure,” said Dr. Herbenick. My Magic Moment, After Chemo
Tammy shares
Since chemo-induced early menopause, I’ve experienced related changes in my body, one of which was vaginal tissue thinning and associated dryness. I’ve tried lots of lubricants, but many of them are made to ‘enhance’ sex, and while others may enjoy them, I find them intrusive and sometimes downright painful! Finally, with Aloe Cadabra, I found something I was comfortable with, is natural, and effective. I’ve been pleased with this product, and even better, I can order it online for the further comfort of privacy.

My Magic Menopause Moment
Susan writes in with her Magic Moment:
After the age of 51, the year I was going into menopause, I noticed sex was getting difficult with my husband. I was dry, so I began to buy over the counter products to assuage the dryness in the vagina. Most contained irritating chemicals that felt like burning in the vaginal walls, so I began looking on the internet for natural alternatives. Aloe Cadabra is a terrific product. The ingredients are natural and non-irritating and non toxic, and it is it totally natural feeling. It lubricates well and I don’t have to worry about “drying out” in the middle of sex. Thank you for this wonderful product.
