Aristotle was right: Doing good creates a better kind of happiness
Happiness and good health go together. But when it comes to your health, not all forms of happiness are created equal. Research shows that “eudaimonic” well-being—the kind that arises from a sense of purpose or service—produces better health benefits than “hedonic” well-being, which we get from a having good time or when we feel excited because our favorite sports team wins.
